Job Description

The Child Protection and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Specialist will provide technical support, capacity building, and guidance on child protection and mental health and psychosocial support activities. The role will strengthen the integration of child protection, sexual and gender-based violence, and nutrition mechanisms, and support the establishment and functioning of child-friendly spaces. The specialist will also lead interpersonal group therapy sessions and support case management for girls and boys at risk or experiencing violence, abuse, exploitation, and neglect.

  • SGBV
  • Health
  • and Nutrition coordination platforms. \nStrengthen collaboration with social development

  • inclusive services and child sensitive procedures. \nPromote and abide by Save the Children policies and procedures including but not limited to: Child Safeguarding Policy
  • Gender equality mainstreaming

  • Transport Policy
  • Financial Policy
  • IT Policy and all other related mandatory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • A minimum qualification of a Social Science degree preferably Social Work or Psychology Degree. Specialized training in Child Protection case management
  • SGBV survivor centred response
  • and PFA/MHPSS. Training or experience in IPT G facilitation is a strong asset. \n3+ years managing integrated CP/SGBV programming at community and health facility levels. \nProven experience establishing and managing referral pathways and case management systems (preferably CPIMS+ or equivalent). \nDemonstrated experience setting up CFS/Children's Corners and delivering PSS/SEL activities. \nExperience coordinating with social development
