Job Description

The Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZIMSTAT) is the official body responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating statistical information to support evidence-based decision-making in the country. Based in Harare, ZIMSTAT plays a vital role in informing public policies and strategies across sectors. Key Responsibilities

  • This is a full-time hybrid role based in Harare allowing flexibility with some remote work.
  • The Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and organizational support to senior leadership.
  • Key tasks include managing schedules
  • coordinating meetings
  • preparing official correspondence
  • and maintaining records. The position also involves managing communication on behalf of executives
  • ensuring efficient information flow and handling confidential matters discreetly.
  • The role may require assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations as well as liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in administrative skills such as scheduling
  • record-keeping and correspondence preparation
  • Strong communication and organizational skills including documentation and task prioritization
  • Experience with office software and tools
  • including Microsoft Office Suite and online collaboration tools
  • Attention to detail confidentiality
  • and the ability to handle sensitive information Problem-solving skills and an ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
  • Management or a related field
  • Previous experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role is preferred
  • Familiarity with the public sector or statistical agencies is an advantage
